About this app

Sill Cats is a resident desktop app where tiny cats move onto your desktop.

They walk along the tops of open windows, curl up and sleep in a corner, come closer when the mouse moves, and may suddenly sprint across the screen around 2 a.m. Yes, they have zoomies. If you have ever lived with a cat, you probably understand.

What kind of cats are they?

• Window edges are their walking routes — they stroll along the top edges of open apps.
  
• They jump from window to window — exploring your workspace on their own.
  
• They are curious about the cursor — when the mouse moves, they may quietly come closer. Or not.
  
• Click to play with them — one click may get their attention, two may make them react, and three may make them properly play. Maybe.
  
• Their mood changes by time of day — dawn and dusk are their most active times, while noon is sleepier.
  
• Late-night zoomies — sudden sprints between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. If you see one, consider yourself lucky.
  
• Wide screens are fine — even with multiple monitors, the whole space becomes their walking route.
  
• They usually do not get in the way of your work, but sometimes they may pounce at your cursor. Please forgive them. They are cats.

Start with 2 free cats

Sill Cats is free to start. The first two cats you can welcome are a sleek Abyssinian and a dignified Tuxedo. If you like them, you can add more cats with breed packs.

Additional cats

Purchasing DLC adds more selectable cat appearances and types.

• Cat Pack 1 — Adds 6 cats, including shorthair and longhair cats.
  
• Cat Pack 2 — Adds 4 bobtail cats with short tails.

DLC adds cat appearances and types.
It does not increase the maximum number of cats displayed on screen at the same time.

Settings

You can change cat types, quit the app, and adjust various settings from the Sill Cats icon in the Windows system tray.

Right-click the Sill Cats icon to open the settings menu.

If you cannot find the icon, click the “^” button in the lower-right corner of the screen and check the hidden icons.

Up to 2 cats can be displayed at the same time.

If you find a bug, reporting it on the Community Hub discussion board would be greatly appreciated.
